Advanced Thoracic Nursing Course 2027
Advanced Clinical Education in Thoracic and Respiratory Nursing
About Course
The Advanced Thoracic Nursing Course (ATNC) 2027 is a specialised professional development programme designed to enhance nurses’ clinical knowledge, technical competencies, and evidence-based practices in thoracic surgery, respiratory medicine, and perioperative patient care.
This comprehensive programme provides an in-depth understanding of thoracic anatomy and physiology, pulmonary pathophysiology, thoracic surgical procedures, and the multidisciplinary management of patients with complex respiratory and thoracic conditions.
Participants will develop advanced competencies in preoperative assessment, postoperative monitoring, chest drain management, airway management, respiratory rehabilitation, pain management, and the early recognition of life-threatening complications.
Through 72 expert-led teaching videos, structured online learning, interactive assessments, monthly faculty meetings, and hands-on clinical training, nurses will strengthen their ability to deliver safe, effective, and patient-centred care across the thoracic surgical pathway.
The programme combines online theoretical education with practical clinical skills training and a final assessment in Singapore, preparing participants to apply advanced thoracic nursing principles in contemporary healthcare settings.
